Graduate Student | Marine and Environmental Affairs
I am a masters student working with Dr. Terrie Klinger to create a sensitivity index of pelagic organisms to ocean acidification (OA). Additionally, I am testing whether field observations support findings from the literature regarding relative sensitivities to OA. With an interdisciplinary background in environmental sciences, I am passionate about bridging the gap between scientists and policy-makers, effectively communicating climate science, and utilizing applied science to solve complex environmental and societal problems.
I am a member of the PCC Graduate Steering Committee and will be completing my graduate certificate in 2018. I am also the managing editor of SMEA's student blog Currents: Navigating Sea and Society where we address pressing environmental issues, particularly in regards to marine and coastal systems and the interactions between humans and nature.
