Christine Baker
Alum | Civil and Environmental Engineering
I am graduate student in the Environmental Fluid Mechanics group within the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department co-advised by Nirnimesh Kumar and Melissa Moulton. My research focuses on utilizing remote sensing in laboratory experiments and numerical modeling to study the generation and transformation of transient rip currents, a mechanism which affects the exchange of contaminants, pollutants and larvae from the nearshore into deep water. I am a member of the 2018-2020 PCC Grad Student Committee in the Public Engagement and Spring Symposium subcommittees.
