UW Alumnus | University of Bristol

I'm a Lecturer (equivalent to Assistant Professor) at the University of Bristol, where I'm a member of the School of Geographical Sciences, Bristol Glaciology Centre, and Cabot Institute (environment focused). My research focuses on the cryosphere and especially contemporary ice sheet behavior, ice-ocean interaction, and connections across ice-climate-ecosystem. I received my PhD from UW, working with Ian Joughin at the APL Polar Science Center. Along the way I also held an NSF (Ocean Sciences Division) Postdoc at the University of Oregon and a CIRES Postdoc Fellowship at the National Snow and Ice Data Center (University of Colorado). While at UW, I was active in the PCC, completing a climate certificate, and the training I received through the PCC continues to inform my work today, especially in regards to my passion for science communication.
